Dr. Dennis Ryczek is a distinguished optometrist with more than 30 years of experience serving the St. Petersburg community. With extensive training, innovative research involvement and a long history in the field of optometry, you can rest assured that you are in great hands at Ryczek Eye Associates.
An Experienced Eye Doctor
Dr. Ryczek is a Board Certified Optometric Physician and Diplomate of American Board of Optometry. He has won numerous honors and awards for achievements in his field and has been a prominent member of the St. Petersburg community for many years.
Dr. Ryczek attended St. Petersburg College, the University of South Florida, and the University of Houston, graduating Summa Cum Laude with degrees in Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry.
Specialized Optometry Services
While Dr. Ryczek provides a range of common eye care services, he also offers specialized eye care options. Dr. Ryczek’s special areas of expertise include post-operative cataract care, ocular therapeutics, and specialty contact lens cases.
As a contact lens specialist, Dr. Ryczek has conducted clinical contact lens investigations for Bausch & Lomb®, Vistakon® (Johnson & Johnson®), Optacryl International®, Paragon Vision Sciences®, and Unilens Corporation®, and has participated in various contact lens solution studies for major manufacturers.
Along with his formal training and years of optometric experience, Dr. Ryczek can provide St. Petersburg patients with any contact lens that is available on the market in order to help you achieve the best visual results possible.

Serving the St. Petersburg Community
Dr. Ryczek has been an active and upstanding member of the St. Petersburg community for most of his life. For more than 20 years, Dr. Ryczek has made an annual visit to St. Jude’s Cathedral School to offer free vision screenings for students, and he has also been a regular volunteer at the annual St. Jude’s Fall Festival. In May 2016, Dr. Ryczek and his wife were awarded the Sister Pat Coffield Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions. Dr. Ryczek also finds time to volunteer and lend his services to various organizations throughout Pinellas County.
But of course, Dr. Ryczek’s highest priority is to spend time with his family and enjoy all that life has to offer. From lobstering in the Florida keys, going on out-of-state winter ski trips, and frequenting local car shows to graduations, birthdays, weddings and life’s many celebrations and milestones, Dr. Ryczek somehow manages to make time for all of it.
